PayToAsk: a paid messaging and video-call platform for experts

The challenge

The work was to build a platform where experts are paid for messaging and video calls. Payments, live video, chat, profiles, scheduling and an admin panel all had to work together.

How it started

It started as a paid question-and-answer MVP, and it became PayToAsk. We built it as an installable web app (a PWA), starting from a pre-built template.

What we built

Payouts through Stripe Connect. Live video calls, using WebRTC through Daily. Real-time chat with Laravel Reverb. Creator profiles for experts, scheduling, and an admin panel.
